Forceman Ridge Compost Facility

Best in the West—  A long term plan by the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine (RDKS) to improve sustainability, achieve a high level of environmental protection and economies of scale, is realized with the completion of the Sperling Hansen designed Forceman Ridge regional landfill. The state-of-the art facility features double-lined containment and advanced 5-stage leachate treatment systems, all as engineered by Morrison Hershfield.

The CSA A-660 certified MegaDome®, designed for very high snow-loads,   encloses the onsite organics composting operations, and features exclusive high-performance HotDip+ corrosion protection system for top performance in a demanding environment.
