HORSE, DAIRY, LIVESTOCK AND STORAGE BARNS BuildWorks Construction Inc. provided the
comprehensive planning, design and construction
management services to Bileena Holsteins, in Agassiz, BC., a rural farming community about 1½ hrs east from
Vancouver, in the fertile Upper Fraser Valley— for a 20,000 square foot, 120 cow, new state-of-the-art dairy facility. Building planning, and design services were all provided by
BuildWorks, in close liaison with the customer to ensure his
vision for the new operations were realized, in respect to spacing requirements, The architectural design is a unique blend of traditional Fraser Valley farm design, West-Coast timber work and roof lines – most evident at the long sloping roof overhang supported by massive rough-sawn wood timbers. This engineered fabric MegaDome structure is centered on the drive-thru area of the barn, providing a high level of diffused natural daylight and increased air volume, thereby enhancing cow and people comfort.
